River Cities United Way's Board of Directors approved the audit and IRS 990 completed by independent auditor, Eugene W. Newman, CPA, at their December 21st, 2011 Board of Directors meeting. Mr. Newman whose office is located in Las Vegas, NV audited the financial position of the organization for the year ending June 30th, 2011. River Cities United Way's administrative and fund-raising expenses decreased two percentage points from the previous year, down to 16.5%. In addition Mr. Newman conducted an additional analysis of the schedule of cash receipts and disbursements of the Bullhead City/Laughlin area as requested by the Board of Directors, (please see page 14 of the audit).
