The River Cities United Way will once again be hosting their Annual Quail Run – 5K Run/Walk and 1K Kids Run on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at the Mohave State Bank parking lot located at 2202 Hualapai Mountain Road in Kingman. The 1K Kids Run will start at 8:00 am and the 5K Run/Walk will start at 8:10 am. Proceeds from the event will benefit the River Cities United Way “Kids Bright & Healthy” Initiative. “This is our 5th Annual Quail Run,” stated Dawn Darby, Kingman Area Manager for River Cities United Way. “In 2011, the Advisory Committee for the River Cities United Way identified a need in our community to help low income and homeless children receive medical, dental and vision care which inhibits that child from learning and in cases that parents/family do not have the means to pay to resolve the issues. Kids Bright & Healthy can provide financial assistance.”
Registration fees are $30 on or before November 4, $35 on race day, and $15 for the 1K Kids Run. All paid participants will receive an event t-shirt. Twenty-five unique hand crafted awards will be awarded for the following categories: Top Male and Female Overall 5K, Top Master Male and Female (40+) and Top 3 in each 5K age division.
River Cities United Way would like to thank their sponsors: Kingman Regional Medical Center, Unisource Energy Services, Mohave State Bank, Bulldog Scrap Metal Recycling, Quail Ridge Chiropractic, Kingman CrossFit and Kingman Riot MMA.
